New boiler prices in Doncaster

Boiler type Fitted price from
Combi boiler £1,799
Regular (heat-only) boiler £2,230
System boiler £2,500

Prices correct in October 2026, for a straightforward like-for-like swap. That covers the new boiler, taking the old one away, a chemical system flush, a magnetic filter and fitting by a Gas Safe registered engineer. The full list is in what's included in a boiler installation.

If your home needs more than a straight swap, such as converting to a combi or moving the boiler, that's built into your quote, so you see the full price before you book. Monthly finance is available, subject to status, and our guide to how much a new boiler costs explains what affects the price.

Combi, system and regular boilers in Doncaster

For most homes, the choice comes down to how many people want hot water at once.

  • A combi heats water as you need it, with no cylinder or loft tank. Smaller combis suit most bungalows, flats and semis. Larger, more powerful ones can supply a bigger home with two bathrooms, as long as your mains water pressure and flow can keep up.
  • A system boiler keeps a hot water cylinder, so several taps and showers can run at the same time. If two or three showers often run at once in your home, it's usually the better fit.
  • A regular boiler keeps your cylinder and the tanks in the loft. If your cylinder is in good order, a like-for-like swap is often the simplest option, and it can be priced online.

We fit Worcester Bosch, Viessmann, Ideal, Baxi and Glow-worm boilers, and your quote suggests models and sizes that suit your home.

You can also switch from a regular, system or back boiler to a combi online, and our guide to converting to a combi explains what's involved. If you need a full heating system replacement or work involving a hot water cylinder, call us on 020 4614 2422 to discuss your installation. These jobs need to be assessed individually, so we can't give an instant online price.

Doncaster's homes and water

Most homes here are houses rather than flats. Almost half of households live in a semi, around one home in seven is a bungalow, and 82% heat with mains gas only, against 74% across England.

Some of them have quite a history. Collieries opened at Edlington, Askern, Rossington and Armthorpe between 1908 and 1916, and New Rossington was built as a planned village for the pit's workers, with its streets laid out in a series of circles. Older homes may still have a hot water cylinder and tanks in the loft, which you can keep or swap for a combi.

Infographic comparing Doncaster's homes with England: 82% of households heat with mains gas only (England 74%), 46% live in a semi-detached house (England 31%), 1 in 7 homes is a bungalow (England about 1 in 11), 6% live in a purpose-built flat (England 17%)

Hard water and your boiler

Yorkshire Water classes the supply here as hard (2024). Over the years, that can build up as limescale inside a boiler, particularly on the hot water side of a combi.

To help protect a new boiler, you can add a limescale reducer when you order. It's a magnetic unit fitted on the water supply to your boiler, designed to help reduce scale building up inside it.

What happens on installation day

After you book, you send us a few photos of your boiler, the area around it and the flue, so we can check everything matches your answers.

On the day, expect dust sheets and a few hours without heating or hot water, while the gas and water are turned off and the old boiler comes out. Most swaps are finished the same day, and converting to a combi can take up to 2 days. Before leaving, your engineer shows you how the controls work and registers your warranty.
